Apple TV+ has moved Severance season 3 back into formation at its signature real-world location. Crews are filming this week inside the Bell Works megastructure in Holmdel, New Jersey — the same Eero Saarinen-designed building that stands in on screen for the glassy corporate headquarters of Lumon Industries.
The sci-fi drama, starring Adam Scott as the office worker Mark S., returned to the site in late August 2026, and public access to parts of the building is being restricted while production continues, according to local reports.

What crews filmed this week
Local coverage described a busy on-location shoot. Camera operators were seen working the main floors on Aug. 24, and actors filmed what appeared to be a chase on the third floor. People wearing mock Lumon Industries employee badges gathered near the fourth-floor elevator bank, and crew moved through parts of the building that the show’s "innies" would not normally see on screen.
Signage around the property points toward a "base camp" and "set" for a production listed under the working title "Buffalo" — a name used for the new season. Several businesses in the complex shut down from Aug. 24 through Aug. 28, restricting public entry to the Center Atrium during that stretch. The weekly Bell Works Fresh Market was canceled for Aug. 26 and Sept. 2, and the on-site basketball court remains closed until Sept. 11.
Why Bell Works keeps standing in for Lumon
Bell Works is a 2-million-square-foot former Bell Labs research facility that architect Eero Saarinen designed and that opened in 1962 as AT&T’s research arm. Developer Ralph Zucker transformed the property into a mixed-use home for offices, shops and public space that opened in 2017, the same year it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. Eight Nobel Prizes have been awarded for work completed at Bell Labs, and the site now welcomes as many as 6,000 visitors a day.
The building’s grand interior made it a natural stand-in for the show’s modular office floors. Director of photography Jessica Lee Gagné called discovering Bell Works as a filming location a "mind-blowing moment" in a 2025 New York Times interview, saying she "couldn’t believe how perfect it was." Executive producer Ben Stiller announced in July 2026 that filming for the new season had begun.
